ASUS GL552VW USB interface does not respond to repair

Machine model: ASUS GL552VW
Main board number: GL552VW R2.0
Malfunction: normally entering the system, 3 USB interfaces are unresponsive (2*USB3.0+1*USB2.0 small board)

Maintenance process: I put in some water, and after cleaning, I can enter the system, but I reported an error and the USB interface didn’t respond.

After disassembly, it was found that there was a slight water damage corrode beside the USB port, and the corresponding signal USB_OC# was 0V, which was recovered after cleaning.

After installation, it was found that two USB3.0 devices returned to normal, one 2.0 interface on the small board still couldn’t be used, and the mouse was turned on (that is, 5 VCC was normal). After measurement, USB lighting cable was not disconnected, and the grounding value was consistent with that of the normal interface.

I suspected it was a small board problem, but there were no accessories in my hand, so I changed the circuit first.lighting cable used by the original small board is USBPN6 USBPP6. After Boardview inquiry, the group of USB P3USB Pn3 is free.

Disconnect the original lighting cable from the South Bridge, and L5902 Jump wire connects USBPP3 USBPN3 to the small board interface.

The USB device plugged in returned to normal, and three USB ports plugged in three USB flash drives were identified normally. The small board was not damaged. It is estimated that it is the South Bridge problem or Inveracious Soldering. Due to the limited budget, it will be used first, and the maintenance will be finished.
